 The original 13", 15" and 17" MacBook and MacBook Pro models have two memory expansion slots and special Apple spec 200 pin DDR2 SODIMMs are required in these models. We ONLY supply the finest Certified Apple PC2-5300 / DDR2-667 modules for these MacBook models. The early models came with 512MB installed while the later models came with 1GB-2GB installed. All models will accept 2GB via 1GB per RAM slot. Core2 Duo models will take 4GB via a pair of 2GB modules. Firmware in MacBook2,1 , MacBookPro2,1 and MacBookPro2,2 models will display 4GB as 3GB even though operations will access the extended RAM beyond the 3GB displayed, no worries!
 Late 3.1 and 4.1 models with the 800MHz data bus can reach 6GB maximum via one 4GB and one 2GB modules. MacBook Pro RAM may be installed individually however the Standard 13" MacBook requires RAM be installed in matched pairs. Please check your "About this Mac" then "More Info" to get the exact processor and memory bus speed info for your model.
